Nathan is a data and AI strategist who builds tools that turn data into decisions for both families and billion-dollar companies. Coining the term seaconomy, he describes the modern economic landscape as fragmenting into archipelagos of platforms, mid-sized firms, and individuals all drowning in data, all needing the same thing: better maps to chart a course to buried treasure. Through Tinkerers LLC, his consulting and product studio founded in 2015, he ships those maps via data pipelines and AI agents, a weekly home economics newsletter and podcast, and apps for data-driven action.
At home, he is a husband and father known for his fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs, longwinded rhetorical analysis on movie nights, and running behavioral experiments on his mostly consenting children.
